Product Terms

Last updated August 24, 2026

Not a race. A signal. These Product Terms govern your use of the Signal Runner mobile app, website, waitlist, and related services. By using them, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Scope and eligibility

Signal Runner is presented as a Little Proof Labs / Everhold project and is currently an evolving, limited-test product. You must be legally able to agree to these terms. Use any driver-facing feature only if you are lawfully permitted to drive, or use the app as a passenger in a lawful and safe way. The service is not directed to children under 13.

These are product and service rules, not a replacement for platform terms. If you obtain the app through Apple or another distributor, its applicable store terms and license agreement also apply.

2. Safety comes first

Signal Runner does not reward speed, racing, chasing, or pursuit. Obey traffic laws, signs, closures, weather restrictions, and instructions from authorities. Never touch or study the phone while moving. Park legally and safely, or ask a passenger to operate it.

Signal Runner is not turn-by-turn navigation, traffic or hazard reporting, roadside assistance, or an emergency service. Routes, maps, location, presence, and timing can be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Use your own judgment, do not enter unsafe or restricted areas, and never trespass. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

3. Accounts and security

Keep credentials, verification links, and account recovery material private. You are responsible for activity through your account unless you promptly tell us it was compromised. Do not create a second identity to bypass a restriction or claim another person's data.

If Apple or Google sign-in is later offered, choosing it may link a provider identity to the same underlying Signal Runner account. It does not give you permission to access another person's account or create duplicate ownership of existing ride data.

4. Location and Private Rides

GPS permission, private recording, Public Signal, event participation, and Private Ride sharing are distinct actions. Public Signal and Live Events show approximate presence. An explicitly started Private Ride may show your exact current point to actively reciprocal riders on its reviewed rider list. It does not show your trail, history, speed, heading, accuracy, or account identity. A last delivered point may remain visible for up to 30 seconds after new sharing stops.

Review every rider before starting a Private Ride. Invite only people you know and intend to receive your exact current location, and leave or end the drive if the roster is wrong. A recipient may retain information they were authorized to see, so use the feature only with people you trust.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Signal Runner to:

  • Race, chase, pursue, or encourage unsafe driving.
  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, or track anyone without informed consent.
  • Share Private Ride invitations recklessly or misrepresent who is in a reviewed rider list.
  • Trespass, evade authorities, violate law, or interfere with road users.
  • Probe, scrape, tamper with, reverse engineer where prohibited, overload, or bypass the service's privacy, authorization, or safety controls.
  • Upload unlawful material, malicious code, or a photo you do not have the right to use.

6. Vehicle photos and user content

You retain your rights in content you submit. You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transform, and display it only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the feature you chose. For vehicle photos, avoid faces, readable license plates, addresses, and other sensitive details. A private source image may be used to produce an approved derived avatar shown under the product's sharing rules.

7. Product ownership

Signal Runner's software, visual design, branding, routes, content, and service materials are owned by their respective rights holders and are protected by applicable law. These terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service as provided. They do not transfer product ownership or permit commercial reuse of our materials.

8. Test service and changes

Features may be experimental, disabled by default, changed, interrupted, or withdrawn. Test data may expose defects, and availability is not guaranteed. We may set reasonable limits, pause features, or suspend access to protect safety, privacy, users, or the service. We may update these terms and will provide notice when law requires it. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised terms where permitted.

9. Ending use and deleting an account

You may stop using Signal Runner at any time. A production account-enabled release is designed to provide deletion in Settings; that queued cloud path is not yet deployed in the current limited-test service, so current testers should contact support. Once the production service authoritatively accepts a deletion request, account access is blocked and deletion cannot be reversed. We may suspend or terminate access for a material safety, privacy, security, or legal violation. Sections that by their nature should survive termination continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers and responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Signal Runner is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or suitable for a particular drive. You remain responsible for driving decisions, legal compliance, who you invite, and the safety of your surroundings.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the people operating Signal Runner and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
